The Washington Football team needs an overhaul at Linebacker. Here are three ways they can go in Free Agency in 2021.

A successful first season under Ron Rivera, the Football Team has shown its strengths and weaknesses on the field.

Their biggest strength as a collective unit is their defense, but there’s still some room to grow with that unit.

Their linebacker room is as questionable as they come. They consist mostly of one-dimensional linebackers who struggle to play the run or are a liability in pass coverage, and this team is lacking true answers across the board from all three of their linebackers.

A former thumper himself, Ron Rivera has gone on record stating how this team needs “that guy to step up in the middle.”

With guys like Kevin Pierre-Louis and the former WFTeamer in Shaun Dion-Hamilton both on their way out in DC — Pierre-Louis is a free-agent and Hamilton was claimed off waivers by the Detroit Lions — this team needs a complete overhaul at the position.

This group needs to be more well-rounded, it needs to be a group that has an equal impact both being a run stopper as well as a pass defender.

This group needs versatility, range, sideline to sideline impact throughout all three levels of the run and passing game. Luckily, this free-agent class has some answers for this team, with the Football Team having over $40 million in cap space to spend.

There are three perfect routes for Washington that’ll provide everything they’re missing. From leadership at the position to production on the field, the Football Team can attack their weakness at linebacker surely this offseason.
