Year-end awards for the Washington Football Team’s 2020 season.

With the Washington Football Team’s season wrapped up after their Wild Card loss to the Buccaneers, now is a good time to look back on the season and assign team superlatives and hand out awards.

Prior to the season kicking off, not many could have imagined that Washington would start 2-7 before rallying to win 5 of their last 7 games and clinch the division. Analysts had envisioned the NFC East would be super competitive, but here we are 17+ weeks later, and a 7-9 team had advanced to the playoffs.

At the beginning of the season,  many hoped Dwayne Haskins could grow into the quarterback of the future that the team desperately needed.

Fast forward to today and Haskins is without a team and Washington is back to its age-old question of, “Who is the quarterback of the future?”

Will it be Alex Smith? Will it be Kyle Allen? What about Taylor Heinicke, who many fans hadn’t heard of until a few weeks ago? Or none of the above?

There’s a lot of open questions going into next season that will be sorted out in months to come, but one thing is for sure, this team is headed in the right direction. Let’s look back on the season and pass out some Riggo’s Rag Awards.
