Offensive Players

WR Terry McLaurin

In his second season with the Washington Football Team, Terry McLaurin was a force at wide receiver and his impacts were numerous.  The former Ohio State star is a favorite of teammates and fans.  The local media voted McLaurin as the “Good Guy Award” recipient – an honor that is given to a player who is media-friendly.

McLaurin’s statistics for 2020 are impressive.

More from Commanders News

  • 87 catches for 1,118 yards and four touchdowns
  • 12.9 yards per reception
  • 51 first downs
  • 5.8 catches per game
  • 1,148 total yards from scrimmage

McLaurin missed a game late in the season due to injury.  It is likely that he would’ve reached the 100 reception mark and greater yardage totals had he not been banged-up down the stretch.

For his efforts in 2020, Terry McLaurin is awarded the first game ball for this season.  He is also the choice for Offensive MVP.

TE Logan Thomas

Logan Thomas struggled in the first few games and then he ignited the afterburners for an incredible 2020 campaign.  The former Virginia Tech quarterback has proven that the switch to tight end was the correct career decision.  Prior to 2020, the best season that Thomas produced was 16 receptions.  Check out the numbers for 2020.

  • 72 receptions for 670 yards and six touchdowns
  • 9.3 yards per catch
  • 36 first downs and two rushes for first downs
  • Zero turnovers

Thomas is also a superb blocker and has earned the trust and respect from his teammates.  For his efforts in 2020, Logan Thomas is awarded the second game ball for this season.
