Playoff Analysis and 2021 Prediction

Playoff Game Analysis: Tampa Bay at Washington

  • Site: FedEx Field, Landover, MD
  • Final Score: Tampa Bay 31  Washington 23

Fans can be proud of the efforts from the Washington Football Team on Saturday night.  Sure, there were some obvious struggles on defense, but the Burgundy and Gold was only a couple of minutes from possibly sending the game into overtime.

For a team that was expected to win anywhere from two to four games in 2020, they certainly proved that the NFC East title was no fluke.  Taylor Heinicke nearly took this team to another playoff game next week.

Can Washington take their late-season success and use it as motivation to improve in 2021?  It would be unwise to bet against this team in the future.  Look for the front office to be active in the offseason.  They will likely be active in free agency and add talented rookies in the draft.  A first-place schedule will be challenging, but this team will make a lot of noise this fall.

Look for a winning record and another fierce battle for the NFC East title.  Washington will secure another division championship and win a playoff game.

2021 Prediction:  10-6 with a division title and one playoff victory.

Personal Record for 2020: 6-11

The game grades and predictions will return later this year.  It is time to turn our attention to the offseason and it will be extremely busy.  2020 was a challenging year for the team and each one of us.
