Reality checks for the Washington Football Team vs. the Buccaneers.

Ron Rivera has his Washington Football Team set to play in the NFL playoffs just one year after he was introduced as the man hired to fix Washington’s cultural problems and football organization.

Was this the storybook season? No. Is this team a legitimate Super Bowl contender? No.

Is it a far sight from the embarrassing, dysfunctional tire fire that finished out 2019 with a 3-13 record under an interim coach known more for his rambling press conferences and tough practice sessions than any success that he could muster on the field? You betcha.

Washington enters the playoffs for the first time in five seasons with the arrow pointing definitively UP for their future. But, they enter as major underdogs, and since this article is about this week’s game, it’s time for some Washington Football Team playoff reality checks.
