3. Washington sacks Tom Brady a season-high four times

There have been few ways to beat Tom Brady in the postseason over the course of his illustrious career. However, Washington is adept at one of those areas, generating relentless pass-rush pressure.

Of course, it’s not only about being able to get pressure. It’s about being able to get home with a four-man rush and to collapse the interior of the pocket. Brady isn’t exactly known for his mobility, so his preferred way to escape and make throws is to climb the pocket. If there are defenders gaining penetration up front, that won’t be able to happen.

Washington should at least have a chance to generate plenty of pressure on Brady. They have an elite defensive line full of former first-round picks. They also have a defensive coaching staff, led by Rivera and Jack Del Rio, that should have a plan in place to unleash the full force of these fearsome pass rushers.

Chase Young and Montez Sweat should be able to make Brady’s tackles work while Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne work against the interior offensive linemen. The four will be the key to the game on defense and will likely decide whether or not Washington can keep this game close as a whole.

So far this season, Brady has only been sacked three times in a game at most behind a strong offensive line. We’ll project Washington to give Brady a new season-high in sacks taken, as they will be ready to pour all of their effort into this one while Brady’s Bucs may not be fully ready for the rush they are about to see.

And as a bonus prediction, expect at least one of those sacks to belong to Chase Young. That will let the rookie fulfill his dream of sacking Brady, which he spoke about at the NFL Combine last winter.
