If Washington wants to beat the Bucs, they need another big-time target to step up. Terry McLaurin will certainly be a weapon against a young secondary, but a second downfield option is a necessity for the WFT in this one.

Logan Thomas seems like the best bet to become that. After all, he has been a top target the last month or so, and he makes more downfield plays than Cam Sims or running backs like J.D. McKissic and Antonio Gibson.

It’s also worth noting that Thomas has a good chance to produce on Sunday because of the matchup he is facing, as noted by our own Ian Cummings.

"Saturday may present an opportunity for Thomas. The Buccaneers’ rangy linebacker Devin White will not be playing. Thomas will still have to deal with Lavonte David, of course, but it’s better playing against one Pro Bowl-caliber linebacker than two. Thomas also has a five-inch height advantage on David, and given how much he’s grown this season, he’ll have throws come his way. As his touchdown catch against the Eagles displayed, Thomas has grown into his role as a No. 1 tight end. Now, it’s time to take that role to the next round."

It’s also worth noting that even with White in the lineup, the Bucs had allowed the seventh-most TDs (9) to the tight end position and were just middle-of-the-pack in receiving yards allowed to the position as well. So, they already weren’t great against TEs and this may be another tough spot for them.

As such, Thomas could be a nice safety valve for Washington. He should have a chance at a 10-catch, 100+ yard game. We’ll also add a touchdown for him to cap off this bold prediction in Thomas’ second playoff game as a tight end.
