Previewing the Washington Football Team’s Wild Card playoff matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After knocking off the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 17, the Washington Football Team improved to 7-9 on the season and won the NFC East in a year that the division that wasn’t very good. Despite the weak division, Ron Rivera’s squad saved their best football for the second half of the season and made the playoff push.

And now, the Washington Football Team is playing a playoff game for the first time since 2015.

The matchup won’t be an easy one. Washington gets the pleasure of taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the top Wild Card team in the NFC helmed by the greatest quarterback of all time.

Tom Brady will lead a high-flying offense against Washington in a strength-on-strength matchup that will be one of the most intriguing battles of the NFL’s Super Wild Card weekend. Meanwhile, Washington’s scuffling offense will have to face a solid Buccaneers defense and will have to find a way to exploit some of their weaknesses.

And, of course, the coaching matchup of Rivera vs. Bruce Arians will be fun to watch. Both are among the most well-respected coaches out there and their abilities will surely be tested in what is set to be a great chess match.
