Here is a look back at the Washington Football Team loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday and a look ahead to the Week 17 finale against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Welcome to our look back at Washington’s loss on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers and the weekly prediction for the next game – this week it is the Philadelphia Eagles on the road.  Washington Football Team fans are not celebrating this week after an opportunity to capture an NFC East title was squandered against the Panthers.

Miraculously, Washington remains in sole possession of first place in the NFC East with the season finale to decide their fate.  The division championship race is tight between Washington, New York, and Dallas, but Philadelphia would love to spoil the Burgundy and Gold’s championship party on Sunday.

If Washington wins on Sunday and the Giants lose, the Burgundy and Gold will claim the division championship.  It’s that simple.  According to Tankathon, Washington currently holds the 19th overall pick in the NFL draft for now.  That reflects Washington’s current status as the division leader.  Washington, Dallas, and New York could see their draft fortunes change drastically in the coming days.  For now, our focus shifts back to the present.
