With an NFC East title to capture if they were victorious, the Washington Football Team lost on Sunday to the Carolina Panthers and their championship efforts now shift to the season finale against the Eagles.

This article was close to being ready for submission by late in the morning on Monday.  Then suddenly, without warning, 2019 first-round quarterback Dwayne Haskins was released by the Washington Football Team.

As written, that article would no longer serve our needs.  It was time to make major changes and recognize the significance of Monday’s startling news.  While some of the new changes to the “Five and Five” this week had already been made, it was now a monumental change.  Let’s see if we can navigate through it all.

The “Five and Five” is changing a bit.  When the Washington Football Team wins, we will have “Five Positives” or “Five Positives and Negatives”.  It will all depend on the complexion of each game.  When Washington loses, we will have “Five Negatives” (as we see today) or “Five Negatives and Positives”.  Some games deserve scrutiny from both angles and other games simply can be examined solely in a positive or negative manner.  That is the new change and it will be utilized in the season finale and for the 2021 season.

The Dwayne Haskins news was quite a start to the final week of 2020.  The Riggo’s Rag team is here to cover it all for you and there will be plenty to say about the circumstances of Monday’s release.  However, the focus here now shifts to the Panthers game and the five negatives to talk about.  Can Washington regain some momentum this weekend and close this NFC East title chase as the champion?  Think positive, even as we talk about several negatives today.  With that in mind, we have five negatives to focus on from Sunday’s game.  Let’s get right to it!
