Three keys to a Washington Football Team victory vs. Panthers
In Week 16 the Washington Football Team looks to inch closer to a NFC East title with a win against the Carolina Panthers.
At 4:05 PM on Sunday, the Washington Football Team gets a chance to increase their chances of winning the NFC East. A win against the Panthers eliminates both the Eagles and Cowboys from contention. A Washington Football Team win and a Giants loss to the Ravens would clinch the division for the Washington Football Team.
Needless to say, this is a very important game for the Washington Football Team. They could clinch the division this week and not have to worry about a win-or-go-home game in Week 17. Let me repeat: The Washington Football Team can clinch the division this Sunday.
The stakes may be even higher for head coach Ron Rivera. He plays the team that fired him last year. Given that plus the fact that Washington could clinch a playoff spot, this game is probably pretty important to Rivera even if he won’t say it.
Unfortunately for Rivera, it looks as if he will have to attempt to beat his former team without his star wide receiver. Terry McLaurin is listed officially as doubtful for Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. However, there is some slightly good news on the injury front as Antonio Gibson (turf toe) and Alex Smith (calf) are listed as officially questionable. Smith was a full participant in Friday’s practice. That’s good sign.
The game against the Carolina Panthers is as close to a must-win as you can get. With a short-handed roster, clinching a playoff spot could very well be on the line. Here are three keys to the Washington Football Team scoring a huge win against the Carolina Panthers.
