No. 1

Positive No. 1

The attitude of never giving up defines what successful teams use to be a winning organization.  This attribute has served the Washington Football Team rather well in 2020.  Against the Seahawks, Washington entered the final quarter with a 20-3 deficit and narrowed it down to 20-15.

With 1:18 remaining in the game and all three timeouts, the Burgundy and Gold found themselves at the Seattle 23-yard line with a first down.  They were “that close” to winning.  The first positive this week is dedicated to never giving up.  Washington epitomizes that attitude.

Negative No. 1

The first negative is Dwayne Haskins – or the Dwayne Haskins of the first three quarters.  Untimely interceptions and a very rusty start (to be expected) was a factor in the loss on Sunday.  The improvements later in the game were solid, but the earlier mistakes cost the team dearly and that is a negative.
