Washington Football Team: Studs and duds from Week 15 loss vs. Seahawks
Studs and duds from the Washington Football Team’s loss vs. Seahawks.
The Washington Football Team couldn’t extend their winning streak to five games against the Seattle Seahawks. Though the team fought hard in the second half and made an inspired comeback, they ultimately fell short on the final drive of the game.
Seattle won 20-15 and dropped Washington to 6-8 on the season. They will still be tied atop the NFC East at the very least following this game, so they still have a good chance to make the playoffs. Nonetheless, this loss will sting a bit because of how the game went.
Washington had a chance to win it at the end, but many will be focused on the slow start they had in the first half. They didn’t score until a field goal in the final seconds of the first half, but if they had kept pace or at least gotten something going in the early portion of the game, they may have been able to win.
Alas, it wasn’t meant to be. This game will be a good learning experience for Washington and if they can build off the loss, this will help them in the long run of the team-building phase here. For now, though, it becomes a short-term hindrance to their attempts to make the playoffs.
There were plenty of strong performances and also some negative aspects of Washington’s loss as well. Here’s a look at the studs and duds from the team’s 14th game of the season.
