5. The Reality Is, Riverboat Ron is going to have to show up.

This is shaping up to be one of those games where you have to take a few risks to sneak out with a win.

Fully healthy, I like Washington’s chances against anybody other than the Chiefs right now. But with injuries starting to pile up, between Smith, Gibson, and Everett in the last two weeks, they might just be too undermanned to pull off a traditional game strategy. Riverboat Ron might have to pull out a fake punt or a surprise onside kick or something in that vein in order to give his team a fighting chance in this one.

My Prediction: These guys know they are playing with house money a bit after pulling off three straight road upsets. They should go into this game playing fast and loose, knowing that a loss doesn’t kill their season.

Expect Rivera to give them a couple opportunities to tip the scales back in their favor. And maybe Tress Way gets a chance to snag a second-straight NFC Special Teams Player of the Week award by pulling off a fake punt.

Ultimately, I think Washington’s magical win streak comes to an end here, but not in embarrassing fashion. 17-13 Seattle, leaving Washington with the opportunity to close out the season needing two wins to make the playoffs. It sure is fun to be watching December Washington Football Team games that matter.
