It’s a time-honored tradition when a winning NFL team celebrates a victory by handing out game balls to deserving players.  The Washington Football Team had four such players on Sunday afternoon vs. the 49ers.

The Washington Football Team did the unlikely once again on Sunday afternoon and won their third straight road game.  The now 6-7 Burgundy and Gold (wearing all white uniforms) beat the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers and took over sole possession of first place in the NFC East.

Can you believe it?  Wow!  Is the Washington Football Team on the cusp of being a very scary playoff option in a few weeks?  There are still some tough games to negotiate, but Washington has served notice that any team playing them will be punched, kicked, harassed, and put into a heavyweight fight whether they want it or not.

With their fourth straight victory on Sunday, Washington took another step to the playoffs.  The 49ers fought hard and proud, but the better team on Sunday was victorious and they played with heart, determination, and a very strong will to win.  Washington is a team that wants to win.  Washington is a team that strives to win.  Washington is a team that will fight to win anywhere, anytime, and no matter the final score, the opposing team will know that they have been in a brutal battle.

Today, we take the time to award our very own game balls to four players as the Riggo’s Rag vault is opened for the fourth week in a row and a few days of celebration.  Several Washington Football Team players are very deserving, but we must limit these accolades to just four athletes due to time and space constraints.  It’s time to take a look at the four awards for Sunday’s game against the 49ers.
