Positive No. 2

Speaking of Dustin Hopkins, let’s give him some props for the second week in a row.  His field goals of 51, 31, and 21 yards helped to provide Washington with the needed margin to win on Sunday.  He also connected on two extra point attempts.  A good snap on his first attempt at a field goal could’ve boosted the stats, but Hopkins still had a solid game.

With Washington winning games much more frequently as of late, the team will need Hopkins to continue his upward trend.  His games as of late have been a huge bonus to Washington and he is the second positive for this week.

Negative No. 2

Robert Foster was signed recently for depth at the wide receiver position.  Foster saw some action on Sunday and it was not pretty.  He was targeted twice and came away with no receptions.  Early in the second quarter, Alex Smith delivered a beautiful 50-yard bomb to the waiting hands of Foster.  For reasons unknown, the speedy wide receiver briefly hesitated toward the end of the post route and dropped the ball.

We can’t be overly negative toward Foster, but he should continue to run the route and trust his quarterback.  Let’s hope this is the only negative for Robert Foster in 2020.
