Keys to victory for the Washington Football Team against the 49ers.

In Week 14, the Washington Football Team plays the San Francisco 49ers in, you guessed it, Glendale, Arizona at State Farm Stadium.

You read that right. The Washington Football Team plays the 49ers in the same stadium that their division rivals, the Arizona Cardinals call home. That is 2020 for you. Expect the unexpected. In another unexpected event, the Washington Football Team is playing meaningful football in December.

Who would have guessed that just a year or even a month ago? About a month ago they lost to the Detroit Lions and fell to 2-7. Only the putrid NFC East gave the Washington Football Team any hope and even that seemed far away with the way the team was playing.

Fast forward a month later and the Washington Football Team has won three straight after that loss. They are now in second place in the division due to a tiebreaker with the New York Giants and only a game out of the Wild Card. Granted, in both cases, tiebreakers put them lower on the list of the teams contending but nevertheless, Washington is right in the thick of a playoff race.

The Washington Football Team is fresh off one of the biggest upsets of the entire NFL season. They defeated the then-undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers, 23-17 on Monday Night.  The victory was impressive, very impressive, in fact, and there are signs of a very bright future for Washington.

However, an even bigger testament to the change in culture will be how they respond this week. They face the 49ers, who have the same record as the Washington Football Team at 5-7. After a game like the one on Monday, it is easy to follow that one up with a letdown.

It will be telling to see how Washington performs. This game is still very crucial to the team’s playoff race, and the 49ers are still in the hunt so expect their best effort as well. Here are three keys to a crucial Washington Football Team victory on Sunday.
