No. 7 – T David Sharpe

Following LT Cornelius Lucas’ injury late in the game against the Lions, David Sharpe filled in at RT, and Morgan Moses switched to LT. Lucas then filled in for the rest of the Lions game and started against the Bengals and Cowboys.

Like the next player on this list, Sharpe is still a work in progress. He shows flashes as a run blocker and shows a good base at times in pass protection, but he is far too inconsistent.

His lack of elite foot speed allows him to get beat rather easily off the edge at times. His hand placement is inconsistent, allowing his defender to get off of his initial block easily. In space, he can look lost and struggles to drive through the defender in space.

In NFL terms, Sharpe is just a guy. He is quality depth. A decent backup swing tackle. As of now, nothing more.
