The Washington Football Team recently beat the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers, proving they can compete with almost anybody. Can they close out the year with a note just as strong?

There’s a lot riding on the final quarter of the season for the Washington Football Team. Sitting at 5-7, Washington is tied for the NFC East lead with the New York Giants, and although the Giants have the tiebreaker after sweeping Washington, there’s a chance Washington can take the lead if they close out effectively enough.

Closing out in that manner won’t be easy, however. Washington has a short tour through the NFC West coming up, with games against the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks on deck. After that, they’ll face off against a resilient Panthers squad coached by Matt Rhule, and then they’ll travel to Philadelphia to take on Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.

It’s not an insurmountable slate of games to finish the season, but if Washington wants to win the division, they may have to go 3-1 at worst, and that leaves little margin for error. Consequently, the coming game against San Francisco remains a must-win. How will they stack up to the challenge?
