A week ago, the Washington Football Team was leading the NFC East. Now, their playoff hopes are in dire straits once again.

Already, the New York Giants’ sweep of the Washington Football Team game the Giants the tiebreaker in the NFC East race, but now, with the Giants’ unexpected victory against the Seattle Seahawks, behind the arm of Colt McCoy, Washington is again a game back in the division race, and with just five games left to play, the margin for error is thinning.

It goes to show how immense the swing of control is, if Washington manages to close out either game against the Giants. One win against the Giants makes Washington 5-6, and New York 4-8, at this point, and one win against the Giants gives Washington the inside track at the division that they’ve been longing for all this time.

But instead, the Washington Football Team is 4-7, and in danger of going one game back as they face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In times of desperation like these, sometimes bold predictions can be easier to swallow. But it’s always hard to know what to expect from the Washington Football Team.
