Roster moves Washington Football Team must soon make.

The Washington Football Team has multiple roster holes. This isn’t news. When they prepare for the 2021 draft and free agency period, they will be looking for a quarterback, wide receivers, tight ends, offensive linemen, linebackers, and safeties. We can and will run through all the potential options for those positions in due time.

But before any of that happens, the team has decisions to make about a number of players currently on the roster. Come the offseason, they will have approximately 20 players entering some form of free agency.

Most of those players do not create difficult decisions. They are marginal talents who can be re-signed or allowed to walk without disrupting the roster or the pay scale. This is one of the advantages to having good football men like Ron Rivera and Kyle Smith making personnel decisions.

For the first time in a long time, the team is not saddled with a lot of bad contracts. It is also one of the silver linings to not having your quarterback in place yet. It does create some roster flexibility.

Still, there are numerous players whose situations should be resolved before putting together the draft and free agency strategies. Here are 15 key roster decisions that need to be made this offseason.
