Studs and duds from Washington Football Team’s win vs. Bengals.

The Cincinnati Bengals were not going to be an easy opponent for the Washington Football Team. This was a strength-on-strength matchup, at least on paper.

The Bengals have a strong offense led by Joe Burrow. Washington has a strong defense led by Chase Young. Whichever team could control that side of the ball would emerge victoriously.

That’s exactly what happened. Washington limited the Bengals to nine points and ultimately emerged with a 20-9 win. Now 3-7, the team is, somehow, just a half game back of the top spot in the NFC East.

This was a big win for Washington. They didn’t play perfect, but they showed a lot of growth and were able to finish the game with a very strong second half. They’ll now be in the playoff race and whether or not you actually think they can contend for the divisional title, they’re mathematically alive now. That will make each game down the stretch important and win or lose, that will help the team stay motivated to play hard.

With all that said, here’s a look back at the studs and duds from the Bengals game and some of the bright spots in a key win.
