So the Washington Football Team managed to add a few seconds to their playoff clock with a win against the Cincinnati Bengals.

It was an ugly game, but there’s never any other kind for the Washington Football Team. Filled with twists and turns and mishaps and opportunities, the Washington Football Team managed to outlast a vulnerable Cincinnati squad, and now they sit at 3-7, just a half-game out of the NFC East lead — if you can believe it.

It’s a spectacular storyline; a unique, if somewhat cringeworthy take on the underdog archetype. But regardless of the context, Ron Rivera’s team remains in the hunt after ten games, and with six more contests in the final stretch of the season, they’ll look to earn more wins like this one.

This game was a revealing one for the Washington Football Team, in ways both good and bad. Here are our three takeaways from Washington’s 20-9 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
