It was a hard-fought contest, but the Washington Football Team ultimately fell at the hands of the Detroit Lions, by a score of 27-30.

The Washington Football Team put up an admirable effort in the second half, nullifying a 21-point deficit at one point and nearly forcing the Lions to overtime. The outcome wasn’t desirable, but there are aspects of this game that Washington can build upon in the future.

We could go into a little more depth with the details, but let’s save that for the slides to come. Despite the loss, there were a lot of standout performances in this one, none more so than the quarterback who set a career milestone, in his first start since nearly losing his leg.
