No. 4 – EDGE Chase Young

Chase Young is one of the most talented rookies in the NFL for 2020 – offense or defense.  He is likely to have a major impact on this league for the next decade or more.  His motor is relentless and his determination is top-notch.  Young is constantly pursuing excellence on and off the field each day.  That definitely makes him a player to build around for a long time to come.

One advantage that Washington had in the 2020 offseason was being able to select a player second overall in the draft.  They made it count when the Ohio State star was available and the card was submitted.

There have been several superb pass rushers in recent years from the Buckeyes, but former head coach Urban Meyer has said that Young is the best of the lot.  That is high praise from a coach who won three national championships and came close to winning several more.

Is Chase Young destined to be one of the best pass rushers and defensive linemen of all time?  We’ll know in about ten or so years, but this Buckeye is a core player to have on your favorite team.
