Six Washington Football Team players to build on for the future
No. 1 – WR Terry McLaurin
The first player on offense that should be considered as a core player to build around is Terry McLaurin. He is quickly beginning to assume a leadership role in the locker room, but his performance on the field is what stands out the most. He leads by example and truly utilizes the old political philosophy of, “Speak softly and carry a big stick”. That epitomizes Terry McLaurin perfectly.

His talent is always on display and the former Ohio State standout is amongst the statistical leaders in the NFL. He is not easily rattled by elite cornerbacks or solid defenses. It’s like being the silent assassin that will strike at the heart of an opponent and do so quickly and without failure.
McLaurin is on pace for 95-100 catches for the season and nearly 1,400 yards. The only statistic that is somewhat lower than analysts may expect is the number of touchdowns thus far in 2020. At the current pace, he is on track for five touchdowns this season. Don’t be surprised if this stat improves substantially in the coming weeks.
Terry McLaurin is a receiver to build the Washington Football Team offense around and another talented receiver would make this unit one of the better groups of wideouts in the league. Washington should include No. 17 in their long-term plans and reward him with a fair contract when the time comes.
