5. Breshad Perriman, Jets

Washington had Breshad Perriman around just before his career resurgence began. Back in 2018, they had him on the roster for all of five days before they waived him. Following that, he went on to become a solid weapon.

Perriman signed with the Browns after that and put up solid numbers for the rest of the season before joining the Buccaneers in 2019. Alongside Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Perriman played very well in that stint and posted 36 catches for 645 yards and six TDs. That’s what made the Jets target him as a potential No. 2 receiver in free agency.

So far, Perriman’s tenure with the Jets has been marred by injuries. He has played in just four games and has caught 11 passes for 118 yards. He has largely played second fiddle to Jamison Crowder in a bad offense, so he hasn’t had the opportunity to do a lot.

With the Jets sitting at 0-7 and staring down another rebuild after the season, they will likely look to sell off all their spare parts to acquire as much draft capital as possible. That could certainly include Perriman, and he probably wouldn’t cost much to acquire. That could make him an appealing buy-low target for Washington.

Perriman is a speed threat and fits in well as a potential No. 2 receiver. Kyle Allen likes to take chances downfield and Perriman had some big games last year with the Buccaneers, so he could end up reprising that success in an offense that takes more chances. Washington could be the right fit.

The only glitch with a potential trade for Perriman is that he is currently dealing with a concussion and has been banged up. Washington may prefer other potential trade targets as a result if they even try to make a trade at the position, but Perriman is still a name to keep an eye on.
