When the 2021 NFL free agency frenzy commences next March, the Washington Football Team will need to decide which players they intend to keep and which players will not be re-signed.

The Washington Football Team is obviously enjoying time away from the gridiron as the bye week has arrived.  We have decided to take advantage of a break in the action with extensive looks at free agency and a mock draft thus far.  We have so much more to cover in the coming days and most of it will focus on the 2021 offseason.  Looking this far out at free agency and the draft presents a number of challenges, but taking an early look could give us an idea about what the team will do during the offseason.

Professional football is the only sport that generates enormous amounts of attention throughout an entire calendar year.  It’s difficult to cover every facet of the sport, but the fans crave it and insist on having a superfluous amount of information at their fingertips.  Yours truly believes that it is a fair and reasonable expectation.  This is why the offseason seems to be as popular as the regular season year after year.

With all of that in mind, we are using the bye week to now examine which free agents Washington should retain and which of these players should not be re-signed.  Today, we will list players in three separate groups – offense, defense, and special teams.  We’ll list every Washington Football Team free agent and have a brief summary for each of them.  You are obviously familiar with these players, so there is no need to fully describe each athlete in detail.  Making such a list is difficult and so much could change between now and March, but let’s give it a try.
