3. RB Kenyan Drake

Kenyan Drake of the Arizona Cardinals is not an elite running back, but he is a solid option as a relief back and can be a decent starter if needed for two or three games. Drake can also catch the occasional screen pass and turn it upfield for a nice gain or a touchdown.

In other words, there is nothing flashy about him – just a dependable option when called upon.

The former Crimson Tide standout was never a starter at Alabama and he has rarely started in the NFL.  Make no mistake, he is still a very good backup running back and he can also handle kick returning duties in a pinch.

Although it is rare when it happens, Drake can break loose for an 80-yard touchdown at any moment.  He can snag a screen pass and take it 60 yards to the house.  Drake can also take a kickoff at his own goal line and dash 100 yards for the score.  He is versatile and very reliable – exactly what is needed for a relief back and third-down specialist.

Drake is going to command a premium for his services and while that may seem unreasonable for a backup, he is that good.  It will likely take a four-year deal at $6 million per season to lock him up.  Again, that is a steep price to pay, but if any backup running back is worth it, Kenyan Drake is that player.
