Positive No. 3

Antonio Gibson had such a great day and he was able to find the holes and hit them perfectly all day long.  His 40-yard run to the Dallas five yard line was poetry in motion.

Unfortunately, the team couldn’t capitalize on that drive, but Gibson gave notice early in the game that he was going to be a factor.  He is currently on pace for an 850-yard season, but a slow start to the season skews that stat a bit.  Gibson could realistically break the 1,000-yard rushing mark in his rookie campaign.

The former Memphis Tiger is a FedEx Ground candidate for NFC honors this week after posting 128 yards on 20 carries and a nifty-looking 12-yard touchdown scamper late in the first quarter.  He was a big-time positive Sunday afternoon.

Negative No. 3

It’s difficult to single out an individual player after a huge blowout victory, but Peyton Barber continues to prove that he does not belong.  It’s not being mean or hateful, it’s just being honest and forthright.  Barber did start the game and ended up with 10 carries for 34 yards.  That is simply not getting the job done.  He has 38 carries for 81 yards so far this season.  That is not a pretty stat.  He was a negative on Sunday – don’t expect him to get any better.
