Stud No. 4 – RB Antonio Gibson

The Washington Football Team received a little bit of flak for drafting Antonio Gibson in the early third round, but Gibson is doing his part to make them look good for that selection. Seven games into the 2020 season, he’s already developing into an exciting offensive weapon, and he had perhaps his best game yet against Dallas’ depleted defense.

Gibson earned his first 100-yard performance of his career on the ground, taking 20 carries for 128 yards and a touchdown. Gibson showed off his stellar long speed on a 40-yard attempt early in the game, and he never faltered as the contest droned on, sequentially chipping away at the Dallas front with his burst and physicality.

Gibson’s playmaking ability is evident in even more advanced stats. Gibson has 13 broken tackles on the year, averaging one broken tackle every 6.5 carries. Contrast that with Scott Turner’s last dynamic running back Christian McCaffrey, who had a broken tackle every 17.9 carries in his All-Pro 2019 campaign, and it’s clear that Gibson’s upside is legitimately through the roof.
