Washington Football Team studs and duds in Week 7 Cowboys win
By Ian Cummings
Stud No. 2 – WR Terry McLaurin
Another day, another standout performance for 2019 third-round pick Terry McLaurin. The second-year receiver logged seven catches for 90 yards and a touchdown, including a long touchdown against rookie Trevon Diggs, on which McLaurin used his elite speed to blaze by the young defender.
The touchdowns was by far the biggest play for McLaurin, but it’s gotten to the point where McLaurin seems to produce, regardless of whether or not he makes the highlight reel. McLaurin’s seven catches for 90 yards added to his season total, putting him on pace to comfortably eclipse the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career.
After seven games, McLaurin has 43 catches for 577 yards and two touchdowns. McLaurin’s tireless consistency has been a very welcome asset for Washington; he’s logged at least 10 targets in four games, and at least 60 yards in every game but one. Whenever Washington needs to move the ball, McLaurin has proven he can make it happen.
