The Washington Football Team earned a needed win in Week 7 against the Cowboys. Here are three takeaways from the game.

The Washington Football Team was facing a massive opportunity in Week 7. They were getting to take on a Dallas Cowboys team that had been crushed on Monday Night Football by the Cardinals and was without four starting offensive linemen and their top quarterback.

Washington was coming off a close loss to the New York Giants where they were one play away from winning. Seriously, one failed two-point conversion attempt was the difference. But the loss helped them build confidence and belief that they could take down the Cowboys.

That’s what happened on Sunday. Washington didn’t just beat Dallas. They routed them. By a score of 25-3, Washington emerged victoriously and by winning, they are now, improbably, just a half a game back of first place in the NFC East.

Heading into a bye week, that’s a nice place to be for this rebuilding club.

Regardless of where Washington goes the rest of the way, this is a massive win for them. They earned the victory, defeated their rival, and have given their fans a win to remember amid what has been a dark period for their team.

With all that said, here’s a look at three takeaways from the big Washington win.
