No. 3 – Jeff Badet gets over 50 yards and a touchdown

The Washington Football Team made the choice to elevate practice squad wide receiver Jeff Badet for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. If Washington is smart, they’ll try and get Badet involved as much as they can, because the former college standout has perhaps the best athletic traits at the receiver position — yes, even better than Terry McLaurin.

Washington signed Badet to the practice squad back in September, to compensate for injuries at the wide receiver position. He’s remained there for the duration of the season, but it was only a matter of time before his traits helped lead him back onto the field. Badet brings searing speed and explosiveness to the table, and his pro day numbers accentuate that fact.

At the Oklahoma Sooners pro day in 2018, Badet logged an absurd 4.27 40-yard dash, and also tacked on a 39.5-inch vertical jump for good measure. Those numbers place him in the rarest of athletic categories, even at 5-foot-11, 182, and his game-breaking speed could be an asset for an offense in dire need of big plays. Regardless of his current standing, Badet is a player to watch closely this coming Sunday, because he could be an unlikely catalyst for success.
