Sitting at 1-5, the Washington Football Team is no longer looking to win now, but instead looking to grow.

The Washington Football Team‘s loss to the New York Giants last week might have been the nail in the coffin for the team’s fleeting 2020 playoff hopes. Now, at 1-5, they’re far closer to the No. 1 overall pick, and judging by their quarterback situation, they could use that capital.

But less than halfway through the 2020 season, Ron Rivera is still looking to compete, and he’ll get another chance to do so against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7. The Cowboys no longer lead the NFC East after the Eagles’ Thursday night win, but while they’ll be desperate for a win in Week 7, they’ll have to play past building locker room dysfunction and roster upheaval to get it.

Before the season, the Washington-Dallas matchup was expected to be lopsided, but while Washington has lived down to their expected reputation, the Cowboys have unexpectedly crumbled through six weeks. With two teams playing ugly football set to meet up, it’s a situation that could render one or more of our bold predictions reality.
