3. CB Kendall Fuller

So far this season, Kendall Fuller has played in just four of Washington’s six games after missing the first two games of the season with an injury. In his last three games, he has logged four interceptions and is tied for the league lead in that category.

With Fuller, the No. 1 thing to watch will be whether or not he can continue his interception streak. Three straight games with a forced turnover is impressive, and his plays have made a difference for his team.

Just last week against the Giants, Fuller caught a ball in the end-zone that ensured Daniel Jones and the Giants wouldn’t be able to take a two-score lead against them. He sprawled out to make the catch in the end-zone and the play was a beautiful one.

The playmaking prowess Fuller has brought to the team has been a game-changer for Washington. He is one of the big reasons they have been able to stay in some games and put up points in key situations. They’ll need him to do that again on Sunday.

The Cowboys have a lot of great offensive weapons in their receiving corps. The triage of Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup is among the NFL’s best, and Washington is going to have to do what they can to slow them down. That may be more about getting to the quarterback — more on that later — but that will also involve Fuller helping to cover one of the big-name players and put forth a solid showing.

Fuller doesn’t have to log a pick to make an impact, but he’ll need to keep making plays on the ball to ensure that the Cowboys can’t move the ball downfield too easily. He is the team’s best weapon in the secondary, so if he can eliminate or limit one of Dallas’ top weapons or make another momentum-shifting pick, Washington will have a chance to do well on defense.

Fuller’s performance will be a key indicator of success on defense, so he must be watched closely in Week 7 because of that.
