Washington Football Team Stud: Logan Thomas and Cam Sims’ TDs

Washington had two offensive touchdowns on Sunday. Both of them came on passes and both of them were terrific plays.

First came Logan Thomas‘ TD at the end of the first half. Allen put it on the perfect trajectory toward the back pylon on a goal-line fade and Thomas managed to make the play and get his feet down. It was an impressive athletic move and easily his best catch with Washington.

Then, on the final drive of the game, Allen found Cam Sims towards the back corner of the end-zone again. The pass was beautiful, but Sims made a strong, two-handed catch, brought in the ball, secured it, and made sure that Washington had the needed TD to give them a chance to win.

Both of these plays deserve a lot of praise. The plays both featured excellent throws, but they also showcased absolutely amazing catches that highlight the size and athleticism that the team has in their receiving corps.

Washington should continue to tap into the potential of their playmakers like Thomas and Sims and if they can, they should have a couple of nice red-zone weapons on their hands. Either way, those two catches were big-time highlights not only in the game, but on the season.
