2. Limit Aaron Donald’s impact

Aaron Donald is a game-wrecker. He can single-handedly take over a game. He is one of the elite defensive linemen the NFL has to offer and is excellent against the run and at getting to the quarterback. The Washington Football Team has to make sure Aaron Donald doesn’t become that game-wrecker this week.

This problem is especially magnified as both the starting center, Chase Roullier, and the replacement for right guard Brandon Scherff, Wes Schweitzer, are questionable. Rookie Keith Ismael would replace Roullier at center and guard Joshua Garnett, who was recently elevated from the practice squad. would likely replace Schweitzer. That’s not good.

Washington has to do everything to make sure Donald does not beat them. He should be double-teamed on a lot of plays. Misdirection plays to confuse him in space may also be effective. Simply avoiding him at all costs in the run game may be effective as well.

Washington must do whatever it takes to stop Donald. Creativity in doing so will be crucial for Scott Turner. The team simply cannot let Aaron Donald completely wreck Kyle Allen’s first start with the Washington Football Team.
