3. The Reality Is, Chase Young elevates this defense.

Washington’s defense looked incredible after a tough first quarter against Philadelphia as Chase Young wreaked havoc. In Arizona, Young was less impactful (I would argue because the gameplan was too tentative, asking the defensive line to spy, rather than attack).

But against Cleveland, it was clear that Young was drawing chips and double-teams on nearly every play until he left with his injury. It was only after Young left the game that Cleveland began to get into some rhythm offensively.

If Young plays against Los Angeles, it will be his first opportunity to face a quarterback who isn’t particularly mobile. Goff is much more of a stagnant pocket passer, and could provide Young an opportunity for an impactful game.

My Prediction: Young, eager to get back in after missing nearly two games, will put on a show on Sunday. Expect him to have at least six pressures, a sack, and a forced fumble, even in spite of being the focal point of LA’s protection schemes.
