Washington Football Team Reality Checks – Week 5 vs. Rams
By Tim Payne
2. The Reality Is, Terry McLaurin can still be better.
Before you get defensive, hear me out.
Terry McLaurin would tell you he can be better. He’s struggled to get separation on double-moves. He’s also dropped a couple passes. But more than anything, what I mean is that his production can be better.
Haskins failed to hit him on quite a few plays during the first quarter of the season, including on several deep shots where he had separated.
If Kyle Allen can find McLaurin in rhythm and when he’s open, he could vault to a level of WR production Washington hasn’t seen since Art Monk.
My Prediction: Terry makes Jalen Ramsey look a bit silly a couple times in this game, and ends up with 14 targets, 11 catches, 112 yards and 1 TD.
