Washington Football Team vs. Rams preview: Matchups, score prediction
By Ian Cummings
Amidst shocking changes on the offensive side of the ball, the Washington Football Team will host the Los Angeles Rams at FedEx Field on Sunday.
Yesterday, it was announced that the Washington Football Team would be benching then-presumed franchise quarterback Dwayne Haskins for backup Kyle Allen. The move puts Haskins’ long-term future in doubt, but according to Ron Rivera, it was made with short-term implications in mind.
At 1-3, Washington is only a half-game back in the NFC East. One could certainly make the argument that winning a historically bad division, just to earn first-round playoff exit, isn’t really worth derailing a quarterback’s development and impeding one’s ability to make an informed decision at the end of the year.
But the decision has been made, a decision we probably should’ve expected in hindsight, given that it’s 2020, and 2020 refuses to be predictable. Kyle Allen will be starting at quarterback for the Washington Football Team in Week 4. And thus, our latest game preview has a new wrinkle.
