New Picks: Buys

Buy: CB Kendall Fuller. This team desperately needed someone capable of stepping up and making plays in the secondary on a regular basis. Fuller’s two interceptions were very different and equally impressive.

Look for Fuller to possibly get used more in the slot and/or against tight ends in future games. Also, look for Fuller to travel with some teams’ No. 1 target. He’s dramatically better than anybody else in the secondary.

Buy: S Kamren Curl. Curl has played in nickel much of this season, essentially as the third corner. He has impressed. I think he’s earned more playing time. He’s looked fast and confident. And he hits hard and tackles well. Jump on this bandwagon

Buy: HC Ron Rivera. Watching Rivera gut through the game on Sunday, clearly under the weather as a result of his cancer treatments was simply incredible. Give the man a medal and another IV.

Those suggesting maybe he shouldn’t be trying to coach need to pipe down. If he wants to coach, he should be. If he’s not 100 percent mentally or physically because of the fatigue, his mere presence as an example of toughness more than makes up for it.
