Last Week’s Holds

WR Antonio Gandy-Golden. AGG got zero targets this week. Apparently, he didn’t really make it into the gameplan this week, getting only 12 snaps. I still like what he has to offer and expect him to gradually work his way into the offense.

EDGE Ryan Kerrigan. Another rough outing for Ryan Kerrigan. He’s still a hold for me, but he needs to have a positive impact in the next couple of weeks to not drop into the sell category. The drop-off from Chase Young to Kerrigan is remarkable.

QB Dwayne Haskins. Haskins had a good game. He broke 300 passing yards for the first time in his career. He was more accurate, more decisive, and appeared more comfortable. Plus, he didn’t turn the ball over.

The jury is, and should be still out on Haskins. He missed several open receivers, took an absurd sack in in the red-zone, failed to make the right decision on the fourth-down play right after that sack, and looked lost in the closing seconds of the first half.

But Haskins wasn’t the reason the team lost this week. He played well enough that the team could have won. That’s plenty to maintain his starting role. Haskins took some steps forward this week. Now, he has to build on that next week.
