Closing Thoughts

The offensive line, as expected, has been really shaky at times. Especially the left side. The play of the line is significantly better on the right side right now than the left. This can probably be explained to overall more physicality and experience.

Hopefully, as the season progresses Christian and Martin begin to play better with experience. Both are crucial in protecting Dwayne Haskins and in the run game.

The development of this offensive line, along with Moses and Roullier continuing their play, coupled with Scherff returning to form, is crucial for two reasons. It will give Haskins more time in the pocket and allow him to go through his progressions easier, ultimately leading to more progression from Haskins.

Also, it will be significant for the team overall. The Washington Football Team, despite its 1-3 record, is right in the mix with the NFC East. That, combined with a stretch of very winnable games, makes the progression of the offensive line paramount.

The offensive line needs to be better and develop. It needs to continue to grow, not only for Haskins but for the team as a whole. That starts next week against the Los Angelas Rams.
