1. The Reality Is, fast starts have eluded Washington.

The WFT has combined to trail 37-7 in the first halves of their first two contests this season. Being outplayed that handily in the first half makes it almost impossible for a young and undermanned offensive unit to climb back into games on a consistent basis. They managed to pull it off against the Eagles, but that Philadelphia team may not be very good this year.

The Washington offense has to figure out a way to sustain a few drives in the first half and the defense needs to set the tone early against the Browns’ talented offensive unit. Another slow start will doom the Washington chances this week.

Scott Turner will need to scheme things up differently to prioritize getting Haskins in a groove early on, as well as to protect the offensive line that is without Scherff and may either be without Moses or with a gimpy Moses.

My Prediction: The first half will include some fireworks. Turner will get Haskins comfortable early. Expect a 17-13 deficit for WFT at halftime.
