4. WR Corey Coleman

The wide receiver market has mostly been picked clean of young talent. There are some older veterans available including Demaryius Thomas and Taylor Gabriel, but it may make more sense for Washington to target a younger player after adding a veteran in Dontrelle Inman to the fold.

Enter Corey Coleman. The former first-round pick of the Cleveland Browns hasn’t quite panned out as the team expected just four seasons into his career, but at age 26, there’s still a chance that he could bounce back if given the opportunity.

During his career, Coleman has played in just 27 games. He has nursed various injuries throughout his career including a torn ACL that caused him to miss the entire 2019 season. Those injuries are certainly a concern, but Coleman has been productive during his career.

Coleman has averaged 12.9 yards per catch during his career and in his best season with the Browns, he caught 33 passes for 413 yards and three touchdowns. He can be a playmaker and a deep threat, so he could fit in nicely as a situational player in Washington.

The reason that Coleman doesn’t check in higher on this list is that Washington does have some young talent at the receiver position that they could want to test out. Antonio Gandy-Golden was a fourth-round pick this year and has played only sparingly while Isaiah Wright and Cam Sims are on the active roster as well. All could eventually get more playing time if Washington becomes frustrated with Inman.

Still, Coleman is worth considering. He would add a speed element that the team is missing and has enough upside to improve. If Washington wants to add a receiver, there are few options that make more sense than Corey Coleman.
