Washington Football Team: Week 2 reality checks, predictions vs. Cardinals

2. The Reality Is, Haskins is not an accurate QB
Dwayne Haskins is a gamer. He’s clutch. He’s big, strong, and unafraid. But he’s not accurate.
There were at least eight incompletions on Sunday that were simply the result of bad technique where he didn’t transfer his weight to his front foot. The good news is, he can keep working on that with Ken Zampese.
It appears that Haskins made the right reads; he led an offense that had zero penalties, and with the exception of the one forced throw straight to Avonte Maddox, he didn’t put the ball in jeopardy. In fact, he put up a very veteran performance.
The ceiling is extremely high for Haskins. If he can improve his accuracy, he could be a very, very good QB in this league for a long time, since he has all the intangibles you could ever want and is a calm, cool, and collected operator even at this young age. So what does that mean for this week?
My Prediction: Dwayne will make progress this week in the accuracy department, but will take a small step back in the area of game management. He’ll go 18-of-27 for 225 yards, two TDs, and one INT.
