The Washington Football Team experienced many positives in the battle vs. Philadelphia, but there were some negatives as well.  It is a game to build on for the future.

It is still the talk of the town – Washington coming from 17 points down in the first half against Philadelphia to score a hard-fought 27-17 victory in the home opener. The team was exuberant in the locker room after the game and head coach Ron Rivera offered praise and a pep talk.

There were many positives we can talk about with the home opener, but there were some negatives as well.  That is what we intend to do today.

For all 16 games this season, we will feature this new series after each game and give you five positives and five negatives to consider.  Undoubtedly, there are more than five of one or the other to talk about and while that could make for a good conversation at the supper table, we’ll keep a narrower focus.

The format is simple.  Each page will feature one positive and one negative.  If the WFT is able to advance to the playoffs, we’ll continue the series until the season is over.  Let’s talk about week one and the Eagles game.
