No. 3 – RB Antonio Gibson

They tried to keep him under wraps, but the hype around Antonio Gibson swelled to a peak anyway. Now, fans and coaches alike are steeped in anticipation, to see what the third-round rookie brings to the table on Sunday.

With the Washington Football Team having released Adrian Peterson, Gibson is on track to have a huge role in the offense in the coming season, and although he’s listed as the second running back on the initial depth chart, it’s been made clear that Washington will rotate running backs frequently.

Additionally, Gibson also offers stark receiving upside, and he has the dynamic ability to maximize open space as a pass catcher. Gibson’s 4.39 40-yard dash and 35-inch vertical at 6-foot-0, 228 pounds, provides him with a rare physical tool chest, which can help him produce.

It remains to be seen whether or not Gibson will need an acclimation period before he gets used to the pace of the NFL, but Washington has made clear that they won’t waste any time trying to implement him into the scheme.
