So football legit happened last night. And there’s a lot more coming up in forty-eight hours, with your Washington Football Team included.

The 2020 regular season of NFL football kicked off with a 34-20 victory by the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, over the middling Houston Texans. It was a resounding triumph to start the year, and on Sunday, nearly thirty other teams will hope to match that intensity in their Week 1 games.

The Washington Football Team will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles, who won the NFC East last year. Nationally, there’s an expectation that the Eagles will take care of business against the burgundy and gold, but inside D.C., there’s a billowing hope that Washington will pull off the upset, and prove themselves as legitimate players in the league.

Of course, to do that, Washington’s players will have to show up and produce, and in particular, the performances of these five players will be of dire importance. That’s right, folks. Football is back, and so too is our “players to watch” segment. Let’s get into it.
